Have you ever shopped at a Bluemercury? If not, you are missing out. Very lowkey and geared towards brands that are trusted, tried and true with a little newness thrown in. One little gem that I have taken a liking to is the line M-61 Skincare which is a technical product line from Bluemercury co-founder Marla Malcolm Beck. M-61 combines the best of technical skin science and power-packed naturals while stripping out undesirable ingredients (no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, dyes or animal testing) . I love the fact that it is clinical and I LOVE the fact that it is affordable. You really get a lot for your money here. I have tried a few items from the line and I am going to rundown my clear favorites…
- JetGlow Cream [$92] Brightening and retexturizing peptide and glycolic acid cream with red seaweed and goji berry. This cream is FANTASTIC for texture and you don’t end up red or irritated from it (at least I didn’t). A proprietary anti-aging blend of peptides and glycolic acid absorbs into the skin to help relax fine lines and wrinkles while promoting increased skin resilience and helping to improve the skin’s texture. Great value for the money as most creams like this cost well over $200.
- PowerBlast Mask [$54] I use this a few times a week – especially when I am PMSing (I am on the menopause train and I get hormonal breakouts) – it stops them in their tracks. This is a true ONE MINUTE pore-purifying glycolic facial mask. You can throw this on and take out the garbage and you are DONE. Rinse off and glow….glow….glow.
- FastBlast Mask [$50] Speaking of glow – how about some brightening? This one gives good glow and in 2-MINUTES flat. This is a quick skin-brightening and exfoliating at home vitamin C facial mask with seaweed and aloe. It’s brightening BUT soothing at the same time. I had no sensitivity to this whatsoever – I use 3x a week.
- Brilliant Cleanse [$34] I LOVE this stuff! I am a huge proponent of using a cleanser that does something for your skin other than just clean it. This does the trick. A creamy skin-smoothing alpha beta hydroxy acid cleanser with grapefruit and mandarin orange. Flavonoid rich grapefruit extract provides natural sources of brightening vitamin C, while mandarin orange peel extract tones and soothes the skin.
These aren’t the only winners in the line – just the ones that worked the best for me. They also have serums, peel pads and more. If you haven’t checked it out yet, slide into a Bluemercury near you and ask them for some information and a sample, they will gladly give it to you!
